Tech Specialist

The IT Specialist must help build and maintain Civicom’s computer systems and ensure IT systems are functioning efficiently and effectively. The IT Specialist must resolve hardware and/or software faults within the acceptable timeframe, and be able to effectively communicate the diagnosis to all relevant parties.

We are looking for individuals who are goal-oriented and energetic, show initiative, demonstrate a high level of integrity and common sense, and have the ability to adapt to various challenges.

REQUIREMENTS:
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
  • Has an excellent command and understanding of the English language, both oral and written
  • Willing to work extended hours, shifting schedule, and weekends
  • Ability to adjust to changing conditions or priorities
  • Mobile and able to lift or move IT equipment
  • Puts security in high consideration, consistently follows procedures, protocols, and policies
  • Has the initiative, and has high level of analytical thinking
  • ABILITY AND ATTITUDE TO GET THE JOB DONE

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide first-level support and resolution to end-user’s IT concerns in a responsive and service-oriented manner
  • Troubleshoot software, hardware, and network related problems
  • Help manage servers and network devices
  • Setup accounts, install software, and configure IT products
  • Assist in setup, transfer and configuration of workstations
  • Conducts research, perform proof-of-concept, and implement IT projects

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE:

An intermediate theoretical knowledge on the following would be a plus:
  • Windows environment, Active Directory
  • Linux OS
  • Advanced Networking skills
  • Structured cabling
  • Fortigate firewall configuration
  • Cisco router configuration
  • CRM systems: remote VPN/remote desktop, SalesForce, SalesPage
