Network Engineer

As the Network Engineer for our Conferencing line of business, you’re responsible for setting up, developing, and maintaining the network infrastructure of Civicom’s conferencing bridge while also providing escalated support on behalf of our Conferencing clients, troubleshooting any problems that may rise.
  • Design and maintain system configuration, system installation and define, document, and enforce system standards
  • Design and implement new solutions and improve resilience of the current environment
  • Maximize network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades and collaborating with network architects on network optimization
  • Undertake data and telephony network fault investigations in local and wide area environments using information from multiple sources
  • Secure network systems by establishing and enforcing policies, and defining and monitoring access
  • Support and administer firewall policies on various network environments in line with IT security policy
  • Monitor network analytic tools and prepare that information into reports for coworkers
  • Configure routing and switching equipment, hosted IP voice services and firewalls
  • Provide support for end users/customers when cases are escalated from our customer care team
  • Provide remote troubleshooting and fault finding
  • Work with subnetting, masks, and classes
  • Speak with vendors (telephony) via email and occasional phone
  • Handle occasional exporting/importing information between database systems
  • Run various reports/queries (SQL)
  • Provide root cause analysis to major systems degradation.
  • Recommend and implement long term solutions to address known and recurring problems
  • Conduct end-to-end troubleshooting, configuration and testing with all telephone system users
  • Conduct end user trainings on use of the telephone system
  • Work with AWS and Linux environments

Apply in

  • BS Computer Network Admin or BSIT Major in Network & Web preferred
  • Certificates/Training in Network Admin an advantage
  • Some experience with phone systems (Asterisk or other similar PBX systems)
  • Experience with ticketing systems
  • SIP/VOIP, PBX, Database (SQL), Analytical troubleshooting
  • Exposure to or experience with AWS a plus but not required
  • Willing to be trained; enjoys technology
  • Able to quickly handle switching between working on very different types of tasks in general day-to-day work
  • Willing to work extended hours, when support is necessary
  • Preferably with good internet connection at home, minimum of 25 Mbps for temporary work from home arrangements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Strong team player
  • Willing to work in Alabang, Muntinlupa–when employees are needed back in the office upon lifting of quarantine restrictions OR when internet connection at home is down or lagging
  • Willing to work US business hours (8:30am – 6pm, ET)
  • Willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done
