Junior Editor

The Junior Editor helps ensure that the Transcription Wing line of business is able to deliver services to its clientele with the trademark quality and timeliness for which it has become known, mainly by fulfilling the duties and responsibilities enumerated below.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Edits and/or proofreads documents
  • Transcribes meeting notes, interviews, focus groups, and other recorded audio files
  • Responds to client requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Ensures that transcripts are submitted with high quality and in a timely manner
  • Manages the transcriptions queue including assignments and follow-ups
  • Liaises between the transcribers and the transcriptions manager

Qualifications (Skills and Experience):
  • Skilled in editing and/or proofreading
  • A solid foundation in English grammar
  • Skilled in transcriptions
  • Customer service orientation
  • Comfortable with technology, working with computers, mastery of MS Office with a specialization in Word and using the internet for research
  • Typing speed of at least 50wpm Superb research skills
  • Superb hearing acuity
  • Familiar with American Accents, colloquial speech, and grammar
  • Great attention to detail and have an eagerness to learn
  • Must be able to adapt to changing roles, a team player, and must have the ability to multitask

Office-based desk job with high internal correspondence, possible extended hours, shifting, weekend work, and shifts during US Eastern day time hours or PH night shifts
